More on Breast Lift and Mastopexy:
Breast Lift | Mastopexy by Dr. Ludwig Allegra of Seattle | Bellevue Aesthetic Facial Body Plastic Surgery: A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, involves the removal of skin and tissue to tighten the tissue and reshape the breast for better aesthetics. This procedure can be combined the use of implants to help give the breast more volume in the upper region. With a breast lift, your nipples can be involved with the reshaping. We will first find out what is important for you and decide what to do from there. Through a breast lift, your upper body' aesthetics can be improved to give your body a better profile and balance. The type of technique used to lift your breasts usually depends on the amount of droopiness to your breasts and the amount of extra skin that needs to be removed.
What type of scarring can I get with Breast Lift? Depending the approach used, scars may be either just around the nipple/areola region (periareolar), may be running downward from the nipple/areolar region to the crease beneath the breasts (vertical) (IMF- Inframammary Fold), or they may look like a upside down T pattern (inverted T)where there this a vertical scar and horizontal scar in the IMF region. If the nipple must be moved upwards then a scar around the areolar area is seen.
What are the elements that can lead to the condition where you would need a Breast Lift? Genetics, Pregnancy, Aging, Medical Conditions, Weight Changes, are some of the factors that can lead to droopy, sagging breasts. Exercise and Weight Loss may help with your current situation. However, most likely these will help little with your change in volume and loss of skin and tissue elasticity that usually leads to the current appearance of your breasts.
